Ankle Pain

Ankle Pain

The ankle provides us with a stable base to hold our body weight and has a range of functions such as walking, running, and walking on uneven surfaces. The main muscles that provide movement and stability are the gastrocnemius, soleus, peroneal, tibialis anterior and tibialis posterior. The foot and ankle can be quite a complex area of the body. Injuries are common and can vary in how severe they are. Some common conditions include:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Sprains
- Problems with your Achilles tendon
- Tibialis posterior tendinopathy
